    Description

MFR-700X is a microencapsulated red phosphorus. After advanced multi-layer coating process, a continuous and dense polymer protective film is formed on the surface of red phosphorus, which improves the compatibility with polymer materials and impact resistance, and is safer and does not produce toxic gases during processing. The red phosphorus treated by microcapsule technology has high fineness, narrow particle size distribution and good dispersion. Microencapsulated red phosphorus with its high efficiency, halogen-free, low smoke, low toxicity, can be widely used in PP, PE, PA, PET, EVA, PBT, EEA and other thermoplastic resins, epoxy, phenolic, silicone rubber, unsaturated polyester and other thermosetting resins, and butadiene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, fiber and other cable materials, conveyor belts, engineering plastics flame retardant。

    FAQ

What is Flame Retardant MFR-700X used for?

MFR-700X is mainly used in polyurethane foam systems to improve flame resistance. It helps foam materials meet fire safety requirements in furniture, insulation, and construction applications.

Is MFR-700X suitable for rigid or flexible foam?

It is typically used in rigid polyurethane foam systems, but compatibility should be confirmed based on your formulation and density requirements.

Does MFR-700X affect foam physical properties?

When properly dosed, it has minimal impact on foam structure, but excessive use may slightly affect foam hardness, cell structure, or density.

What is the recommended dosage of MFR-700X?

The dosage depends on system formulation, but it is generally added in small percentages during the polyol blending stage. Exact dosage should be optimized through lab testing.

    Is MFR-700X halogen-based or halogen-free?

MFR-700X can be formulated as part of a halogen-free or low-halogen system depending on application requirements. Always confirm technical specifications before use.

Can MFR-700X improve UL94 or similar fire ratings?

Yes, it can help polyurethane foam formulations achieve better flame retardancy performance and support compliance with fire safety standards such as UL-related tests when properly formulated.

How should MFR-700X be added during production?

It is usually added into the polyol component with proper mixing before reaction with isocyanate to ensure uniform dispersion.

Does MFR-700X affect foam processing (foaming speed)?

In most systems, it has a minor effect on reaction kinetics, but formulation adjustment may be required to maintain stable foaming time and cream time.

    What industries commonly use MFR-700X?

    It is widely used in:

    ● Furniture foam

    ● Building insulation panels

    ● Refrigeration insulation

    ● Automotive interior foam components

Can MFR-700X be customized for different foam systems?

Yes, suppliers can often adjust formulation (reactivity, compatibility, flame performance) based on your PU system requirements.
