    Description

    MOFAN 5 is high active polyurethane catalyst, mainly used in the fasting, foaming, balance the overall foaming and gel reaction. It is widely used in the polyurethane rigid foam including PIR panel. Because of strong foaming effect, it can improve the foam liquidity and product process, compatible with DMCHA. MOFAN 5 also can compatible with other catalyst except polyurethane catalyst.

    Application

    MOFAN5 is refrigerator, PIR laminate boardstock, spray foam etc. MOFAN 5 can also be used in TDI, TDI/MDI, MDI high resiliency (HR) flexible molded foams as well as integral skin as well as microcellular systems

    Add 0.5–2% by weight on resin; it dramatically reduces cure time even at low temperatures.

    Can MOFAN 5 be used in polyurethane casting systems to reduce cure time without increasing exotherm?

    To a limited extent; but its high activity may cause exotherm spikes. Use a mixture with MOFAN 8 for better control.

    What’s the best way to avoid foam splitting when using high levels of PMDETA?

    Always combine with a blowing catalyst like MOFAN A1 at a ratio of 1:0.3 (PMDETA:A1) to balance gel and blow.
