    FAQ

I want the gel strength of TEDA but need a liquid form. Is 33LV the right product?

Yes, 33LV is a 33% solution of TEDA in DPG, fully liquid and easy to pump.

My flexible foam has poor load-bearing capacity. How much 33LV should I use?

0.3–0.6 phr (as product) gives a good balance of hardness and resilience.

Can 33LV be used in high-water (>5 phr) foam to prevent splitting?

Yes, but you must pair it with a blowing catalyst like MOFAN A1 at a ratio of 4:1 (33LV:A1).

What is the shelf life of 33LV?

12–18 months if stored below 30°C in sealed drums. It does not freeze easily.

My molded foam has a thick skin. How can 33LV help?

Reduce 33LV by 0.1 phr and add a little A1 to thin the skin by opening surface cells.

    Does 33LV contain any water?

No, DPG is dry; water content <0.1%. It is safe for use with isocyanates.

Can 33LV be used in polyurethane elastomers for rollers?

Yes, at 0.2–0.4 phr, but it may cause some bubble formation; degas the polyol before adding isocyanate.

Is 33LV suitable for spray-applied rigid foam?

Yes, but because of DPG’s slight hydroxyl value, adjust the isocyanate index accordingly.

My customer wants a TDI-based foam with low residual amine. Does 33LV contribute to odor?

The DPG carrier is odorless, and TEDA has moderate odor. Post-curing reduces it.

What is the equivalent dosage to solid TEDA?

3 g of 33LV = 1 g of solid TEDA. Multiply solid TEDA dosage by 3 to get 33LV dosage.
