    Description

    A light yellow transparent liquid with a low odor, soluble in general polyurethane raw materials. It does not contain restricted heavy metals such as mercury, lead, and tin, nor components like polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and phthalates, complying with environmental protection regulations. It is primarily used in the two-component polyurethane CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) field as a co-catalyst.

    Application

    ■ Reacts more slowly compared to tin and bismuth;
    ■ An extremely effective crosslinking catalyst, resulting in end products with non-tacky surfaces;
    ■ Belongs to post-curing/post-ripening catalysts, shortening the product's molding/demolding/dry-to-touch time;
    ■ Has mild catalytic activity, providing a long flow period after mixing with materials. It is generally not used alone and is typically used as an auxiliary catalyst in combination with organic bismuth.

    FAQ

    I produce polyurethane coatings and need a co-catalyst with bismuth for faster tack-free time. How to use Z1910?

    Combine MOFAN B2010 (0.1 phr) with Z1910 (0.05–0.1 phr) for a synergistic effect, reducing cure time by 30%.

    My polyurethane elastomer has poor surface dry. Can zinc neodecanoate help?

    Zinc promotes surface cure; use 0.05–0.2 phr together with a tin or bismuth catalyst.

    Is Z1910 suitable for polyurethane adhesives for shoe manufacturing?

    Yes, it provides fast green strength and good heat resistance; typical dosage 0.1–0.3 phr.

    What is the advantage of zinc over tin in one-component moisturecure systems?

    Zinc is less sensitive to moisture, giving longer shelf life, but slower overall cure.

    Can MOFAN Z1910 be used in polyurethane rigid foam?

    Not as a primary catalyst; but as a co-catalyst with potassium salts to adjust cell structure.

    Does zinc catalyst cause any haziness in clear polyurethane casting resins?

    Minimal; but avoid high levels (>0.5 phr) as zinc carboxylates can cause turbidity.

    My polyurethane coating has poor pot life stability. Can Z1910 improve it?

    Zinc alone is too slow; use a blend with bismuth for a balanced profile.

    What is the typical zinc content of Z1910?

    Approximately 17–19% zinc; it is a low-viscosity liquid.

    Is Z1910 approved for food-contact polyurethane applications?

    Yes, zinc neodecanoate is on many positive lists for indirect food contact with low migration limits.

    How should I store MOFAN Z1910?

    Store in a cool, dry place; avoid freezing; shelf life 12 months.
